Luca Santini was born in Rome in 1992. He began to approach photography in 2014, enrolling in the three-year master's degree at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia e Cinema in Rome. Subsequently he became Paolo Pellegrin's studio assistant and collaborated on the publication of the book Paolo Pellegrin An Anthology. From the beginning he mainly concentrated on long-term personal projects, undertaking continuous visual research on the Italian territory linked to the landscape in the broad sense of the term. With particular attention to the human being who relates to it. His images have been published in the most important Italian and international magazines, including Bloomberg Businessweek, National Geographic, Der Spiegel, Vanity Fair, L'Espresso, Internazionale and others. Carrying out in parallel a more commercial photography, always with a contemporary approach which over time has earned him clients such as Porsche, Loccioni, Wilder Yacht, Franco Maria Ricci Editore and others. His first book BLUE was released in 2020, a collaborative work with Matteo Natalucci enriched by the pen of Wu Ming 2. Since March 2020 he has been represented by the photographic agency Contrasto.
